The material of which the 1.61 Blue Zero Glacier Plus lens is made, is a Shamir developed polymer of a unique formula, which absorbs rays of the upper part of blue spectrum (HEV), leaving the lenses clear. As it is known, intensive exposure to these rays leads to eye dryness, fatigue and headaches, and in some cases to a more severe consequences, such as maculopathy, retinal degeneration and early cataracts. Therefoe lenses with built-in Blue Zero protection are a great option for those who spend a lot of time in front of monitores, tablets, phones. Beside built-in protection, 1.61 Blue Zero Glacier Plus lenses also have a Glacier Plus comprehensive coating which additionally provides hydro and oleophobic properties, scratch resistance, antireflex and antistatic properties. The lens has a light green residual reflex.
