Silicon hydrogel contact lenses of Japanese company Menicon.

The lens incorporates company`s innovative desig, namely, plasma surface treatment (NanoGloss technology). Menicon uses plasma treatment on all their silicone materials, this is neccessary to make material wettable. All silicone hydrogel lenses manufacturers should have resolved this issue. It took many manufacturers years to do this. Menicon company turned out to be the only one to resolve this problem by plasme treatment of the surface. In the scientific opthalmological community there have been discussions whether this being a good solution. However, it is a recognized fact that Premio lenses succeeded, and the others have a complaint.

These lenses have one of the record numbers of oxygen permeability - 161 Dk/t, which guarantess the eyes the neccessary amount of oxygen, making them comfortable in wearing during the entire day.
