Product description

Biomedics Evolution - monthly contact lens for day and extended-wear.

The lens is made in aspheric design. This option is not new, used since the late nineties, however, manufacturers continue to work on it, trying to achieve greater visual acuity, better mobility on the eye and comfort. It would seem that the company already has an aspherical lens design - Frequency 55 Aspheric, however, the differences between the two lenses noticeable. The main thing is that Biomedics Evolution aspheric design made on a somewhat smaller thickness (0.07 mm) and used material ocufilcon, whereby the oxygen permeability of the lens (Dk / t 27.0) makes it more interesting than Frequency 55 Aspheric, - in that the lens appears the opportunity to apply extended wear mode. Although with the advent of silicone lenses oxygen permeability index Dk / t 27.0 looks ridiculously low.

Contact lens Biomedics Evolution was designed by Ocular Sciences. Currently, the company Ocular Sciences and Cooper Vision merged and, as sometimes happens as a result of these processes, there are some drawbacks. It is understood that a considerable number of patients noted that the lens Biomedics 55 was better than the Biomedics Evolution. Unfortunately, in our market represented only by the lens Biomedics Evolution, And in the same radius.

Users should be aware that, like all lenses of high water content (over 55%), these contact lenses require more careful handling, regular cleaning and, depending on the viscosity of your tears, the need for a lubricant or lubricated solution.
